Howdy, everyone, all you lovely seven watchers, you! I have tidings of great joy (for me)! I've had my first commission ever: Draw Santa and bowties. Yes, bowties. I suppose if they can be worn as casualwear, Santa can wear them, right? It was a pretty cool challenge–figure out how to draw Santa (I'm still trying to figure out things like proportions and stuff, so this Santa was a lot slimmer than most!), figure out the outfit, and figure out how to make it all fit digitally. (Story of my life, right? Great with pencils, not so great with tablets.)  I drew everything by hand, took a picture of it, put it on GIMP, and used Rimirinchan

So the thing about having a deviantART is that for all my doodles, I have no scanner. Do y'all think it's okay to photograph pictures and upload them like that? I can't decide. Lately I've been doing a lot of word art. Can't think of people or scenes to draw, so I draw words or phrases I like. I'd love to go through Lydia Albano's works and make word art out of so many of her quotes. I'd love to make fanart of Finding You. So many art dreams, no time now. Bye!

Veritas. We went to see them. They bill themselves as singers of the contemporary classical genre–a genre they admittedly made up. Perhaps more people should make up genres, because Veritas certainly made me a fan of theirs. From their opening number, they soared through extraordinary songs, ranging from hymns with complex harmonies to a stunning rendition of “Bring Him Home” from Les Mis.  Their performance can be  described as phenomenal, with exquisite harmonies and rich, powerful voices–and no wonder, considering the training they have received.
